NRM SOLUTIONS

NRM Solutions is an indigenous consulting and research firm serving its Caribbean home. Formally established in October 2011 in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, NRM Solutions provides a range of services to support sustainable natural resource management (NRM) and the sustainable development of the Caribbean region.

NRM Solutions facilitate project and partnership development and their implementation, particularly in the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) of the Caribbean. We provide technical and project or programme management support for activities in the broader areas of sustainability and environmental management and protection. We provide these services from conceptualisation of ideas, projects, activities, and strategies, all the way through to their implementation and completion.

 

In this regard, we facilitate the transfer of techniques and know-how, the development of local and regional capacity, and the performance of problem/system-based assessments on behalf of our clients. Our primary technical focal areas of work are:

• Water and wastewater management,

• Integrated coastal zone management (ICZM),

• Chemicals and waste management,

• Climate change,

• Sustainable tourism,

• Sustainable agriculture, and

• Implementation of and compliance with multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and other environmental policies.

To further achieve sustainable development at the national and local levels, NRM Solutions provides compliance assistance for infrastructural and other national developmental activities including:

• Preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs)

• Preparation of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs)
